The Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships (AGRTPS) at Flinders University 2024-25 applications are now being accepted in Australia. Through the Australian Government Scholarships, international students can apply for these scholarships in Australia.

For a Research Doctorate, the scholarship can last up to three years, and for a Research Master’s degree, it can last up to two years. The chosen candidates must begin a higher degree by research in Australia for the first time and pursue full-time studies.

International students may apply for up to six AGRTPS each year, and the scholarship round is quite competitive. International students studying in Australia can apply for full scholarships through the Flinders University RTP Scholarship 2024–2025. The Flinders International Student Scholarships will cover the following costs for two-year MSc programs and three-year PhD programs:

Eligibility Criteria

This is a list of general requirements for Flinders University Australia’s study abroad program:

  • The applicant is not qualified to be a permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand, or Australia as a citizen.
  • Candidates needed to have finished their four-year bachelor’s degree with honors.
  • At the time of admission, applicants had to have fulfilled the English Proficiency Levels that Flinders University had established for international students.
  • To be eligible for a Masters or PhD by Research, candidates must meet the Academic Entry Requirements of the University.

English Proficiency:

If English is not your first language, you will require:

  • Fulfilled the test score requirements for the course for which you are applying. The table below displays the IELTS scores and equivalent scores needed to meet each level. It is required to take the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and Cambridge exams in a designated testing facility.
  • Completed an authorized secondary or postsecondary education program with success, taught in English in a nation where English is the official language or the primary language spoken (up to an overall IELTS score of 6.5), and provided documentation no older than five years as of the proposed course start date; or
  • completed a pre-course English course from an authorized ELICOS Provider with success.

Selection Criteria:

  • The Scholarships Committee will select awardees based on their academic standing and potential for future research.
  • The applications will be ranked in accordance with the University’s Guidelines for Ranking Postgraduate Research Scholarship Applications.
  • The institution will give preference to students who are seeking a higher degree through research for the first time.

Application Procedure:

  • Step 1: If you are successful, you need to speak with a member of the academic staff and gain their verbal agreement to be supervised. A copy of the supervisor’s clearance should be sent via email with your application. (Click here to contact a member of the academic staff)
  • Step 2: Get your Students ID by completing the registration process on the University Registration Portal.
  • Step 3: Enter the students’ ID and birthdates from the previous step to finish the activation procedure. To activate your account, click this link.
  • Step 4: Following the activation of your account To enter the Student Portal, click the “apply now” button below. Then, adhere to the guidelines that show up below:
    • Choose the Student System.
    • Selecting the My Scholarship tab is necessary.
    • Select the “Create a new scholarship application” option.
    • From the list of search results, choose the International RHD Scholarship Group.
