About Driver Vacancy:

The driver will efficiently run numerous office tasks, drive all kinds of cars, and offer transport services. The following tasks and obligations are anticipated of the incumbent, including but not restricted to:

• Ensure the safe and dependable operation of vehicles and offer driving instruction;
• Drive UNOPS cars for all employee and guest transportation needs, and when needed, meet official personnel at the airport;
• Maintaining accurate daily vehicle logs can help to ensure that cars are used appropriately;
• Make sure the designated car has daily maintenance inspections, including checking the battery, tires, breaks, and oil and water levels; when needed, do engine troubleshooting;
• Make sure the designated car is always clean;
• Maintain track of and ensure that the necessary paperwork is available within the designated car, such as insurance, registration papers, driver’s manuals, city maps, first aid kits, personal protective equipment, and replacement parts;
• In compliance with regulations and procedures, report occurrences as soon as possible in the event of a road accident;
• As needed, transport and retrieve correspondence, mail, papers, and other objects between offices;
• Keep track of your daily travels and fuel use;
• Accountable for ensuring the security of persons on board by following transport and security protocols;
• Make sure that the correct protocols for radio communication are followed on every trip, and cooperate with the security radio room as needed;
• Carry out any additional tasks that the supervisor may assign you;

Eligibilities:

Applicants must have the following:

• Secondary Diploma (Desirable)
• Two years of experience behind the wheel

Eligibility Criteria:

• A notable benefit for individuals lacking a degree in Supply Chain Management Procurement is the Chartered Institute of Supply and Management (CIPS) or a comparable international certification.
• Two(2) years or more of professional experience in foreign public procurement.
• In collaborating with a variety of stakeholders in both developed and developing nations.
• It would be ideal to have some experience working for UN system agencies, ideally in a developing nation.
• Familiarity with office applications and computers (MS Office 2003 and/or subsequent versions)
• It is necessary to be fully conversant in the working language (English).
• It is advantageous to know another official UNOPS language.
