The University of Sydney will be accepting applications for Sydney Scholars Awards | Undergraduate Scholarship for International Students from April 8, 2022. Sydney Scholars Awards provide financial assistance to outstanding Year 12 students pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is open to all international & domestic students.

Scholarship Value:

The Sydney Scholars Award is worth $6,000 and can be used to fund one year of an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be a domestic or onshore international student who is about to or has recently earned an Australian Year 12 qualification, such as the HSC, or an equivalent qualification, such as the International Baccalaureate.
• Be submitting an application for admission through Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
• Have an ATAR of 95 to 99.85 or an equivalent
• Apply in the year you finish your secondary schooling (if you are offered a Sydney Scholars Award, you may defer it for two years).

Application Requirements:

• Personal Statement (max. 1000 characters)

Begin working on your Statement. Introduce yourself and write about your aims and accomplishments (hint: don’t work from the online form; instead, save it as a separate document).

You must respond to 6 questions:

1. Why are you interested in this course?
2. What are your academic accomplishments?
3. What are your objectives?
4. Do you participate in any extracurricular, leadership, personal, or community activities, and if yes, what are they?
5. How do your current and future activities help you achieve your goals?
6. Is there anything more you’d like to say?

• The faculty of your first choice at the University of Sydney (search your course to check)
• Results of the HSC trial (if available)
• Your most current school report in pdf format
