Opportunity Description

The ORG Impact Awards for 2022 are now accepting applications. The ORG Impact Awards are a global awards program that honors and recognizes individuals and organizations with a registered.ORG domain for their efforts, accomplishments, and impact in their communities. Public Interest Registry has honored non-profits trying to make a difference in their communities and worldwide for the past three years. “We can accomplish even more,” these unique individuals and organizations say to one another. The world, on the other hand, never stops spinning, and champions never sleep.

The 4th annual.ORG Impact Awards honors these trailblazers for their unwavering commitment to inspiring and making a meaningful difference worldwide. The mission-driven.ORG Community has accomplished a great deal, and they applaud and celebrate their unquenchable will to keep pushing forward, grow, and transform the world into what it should be.

Award Categories:

  • Health & Healing: Honors a group or individual dedicated to delivering community health and wellness services, such as education and awareness, vaccine development, equitable distribution of medical supplies, and mental health resources.
  • Education for All: Honors an organization or individual for their commitment to ensuring that all children receive an education, regardless of race, gender, or financial condition.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Recognizes an organization or individual for their efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in society via developing policies, programs, and initiatives that address systemic difficulties and historical injustices.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Recognizes a group or individual that strives to tackle rising ecological concerns and encourages responsible consumption and environmental sustainability in communities worldwide.
  • Hunger & Poverty: Recognizes an organization or individual who has made important achievements and innovations on a local, national, or global scale in the battle to eradicate hunger, alleviate poverty, and reduce resource inequities.
  • Community Building: Recognizes an organization or individual whose efforts have improved or changed the lives of those in the community served by the candidate, whether on a local, national or global scale.
  • Rising Star: By December 31, 2022, an individual under 25 who has made a significant effect in their community through leadership on a project, platform, task, or campaign will be recognized as a Rising Star.
  • Year’s Outstanding Organization (ORG of the Year): This award acknowledges and recognizes an organization or individual for exceptional performance as indicated by outcomes and contributions to its sector, constituents, community, or society. This award is automatically given to the finalists in the other seven categories. PIR will choose the.ORG of the Year at its exclusive discretion.


  • Winners will get a personalized award and the opportunity to donate up to $45,000 to a non-profit or non-governmental organization (depending on the award category).
     $35,000 USD.ORG of the Year
     $10,000 USD for all other category winners
  • More importantly, they believe that the ORG Impact Awards will help enhance your organization’s reputation and provide extra validity to your efforts.
     Winners will also have the opportunity to be recognized prominently online during the ORG Impact Awards.
     Use a dedicated .ORG Impact Awards logo in advertising materials
     Be highlighted throughout the Year on various.ORG digital platforms, articles, videos, social media posts, and more

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Individuals must be at least 18 years old and have permission to participate.
  • You can nominate an individual or business that uses or has a link to the.ORG domain with their permission if they are under 18.
  • If a nominee under 18 qualifies as a finalist, they will be disqualified.
  • Employees of Public Interest Registry and any of its parent or subsidiary firms, as well as their parents or legal guardians, must complete a permission form signed by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Individuals or entities, as well as their immediate family and household members, are not eligible to nominate individuals or entities or be considered nominees for any award.

  • JPEG or PDF files can be uploaded. The maximum file size per item is 5MB. You can upload a maximum of five pieces with your entry.
  • There must be at least one file or link.
  • Video uploads can be uploaded on sites like YouTube or Vimeo.
  • To the publicly viewable campaign or the active URL of a landing page, provide website URLs. Please double-check that all usernames and passwords are correct and functional.
  • Please do not submit any more written materials, as the judges will not consider them. Within the provided form fields, you should clearly explain the written component of your entry.

How to submit a nomination for .ORG Impact Awards for Changemakers?

A single person has no official limit on the number of submissions they can submit. A nominator may submit nominations in any category, but each one must be distinct. If the sponsor considers the substance of the nomination fits better in a different award category, it maintains the right to change the award category selected as needed.
