Eligibility Criteria

All applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants should currently enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or equivalent, second or higher university degree
  • Have recently graduated with a Master’s or PhD (or second degree as defined above) within the previous 12 months
  • At the time of application, candidates must be 20 years old
  • Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English or French
  • Candidates must know how to use computers and be familiar with office-related software
  • Have teamwork skills and be able to work in an international working environment
  • Candidate must have interpersonal and communication skills

  • Motivation letter
  • CV/Resume
  • All previous degree certificates.
  • All official Transcripts.
  • Visa.
  • Medical Insurance proof.
  • Medical certificate.
  • As proof of graduation, your ID/Certificate of Enrolment/Diploma.

Please consider the following points before applying:

  • Before filling out the application form, prepare your motivation letter and resume. You only have one hour to complete the task.
  • Ensure your contact information is current for the next six months.
  • When applying, you can only use English or French.
  • Please give an unofficial French or English translation if your documents are not in these languages.
  • You are only permitted to submit one application.
  • UNESCO does not pay interns. There is no monetary or other compensation for internship duties.
  • Even if you are qualified, you cannot be assured that you will be placed. We receive more qualified applicant applications than we can place.
  • Your application will be accessed by UNESCO managers worldwide and will remain on the internship site for six months.
  • UNESCO does not respond to every single candidate. If you are selected, the manager will contact you immediately. Your application was unsuccessful if you have not received an update within six months.
