Opportunity Description
The TWAS-LUMS Postgraduate Fellowship 2024 applications are open to developing country students. This Fellowship program is a collaborative initiative between the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan, and TWAS, aimed at providing fellowships to young scientists from developing countries, excluding Pakistan.
This fellowship supports individuals aspiring to pursue research leading to a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences and Engineering. The program is hosted at the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) at LUMS, Lahore, Pakistan.

Benefits of the TWAS-LUMS Postgraduate Fellowship
TWAS-LUMS Postgraduate Fellowship will provide a monthly stipend covering living costs, including:
- Food
- Accommodation
- Local transportation
- Incidental minor illness
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the TWAS-LUMS Postgraduate Fellowship must:
- Be a maximum age of 35 on 31 December of the application year.
- Hold a Master’s degree in a field of natural sciences (computer sciences and IT fall under Engineering Sciences for TWAS)
- Be a national of a developing country (excluding Pakistan).
- Not hold any temporary or permanent residency visa in Pakistan or any developed country.
- Provide evidence of English proficiency if the education medium was not English.
- Commit to returning to their home country upon completion of the fellowship.
- Do not engage in other assignments during the fellowship period.
- Be financially responsible for any accompanying family members.

- Evidence of not holding a visa for residency in Pakistan or any developed country.
- Statement of purpose.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Reference letters (as specified in the application process).
