Opportunity Description
The International Youth E-Games Championships will be held in Kazan, Tatarstan, from October 8–10, 2022, as part of the “Kazan OIC Youth Capital 2022” International Program, which is being organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF). Participants may showcase their e-Sports prowess and represent their nation at an international tournament by competing in the International Youth E-Games Championships. The game will be televised globally. The Championship seeks to recognize the top teams in the 18- to 35-year-old online gaming demographic in Russia and the OIC nations.
Objectives
The Championship aims to accomplish the following goals:
- Fostering closer communication amongst the youth of the OIC nations.
- Giving fresh talent the chance to contribute to the growth of e-Sports significantly.
- Finding young people with ability in the e-Sports industry.
- Encouraging participants to continue participating in worldwide OIC activities by igniting their enthusiasm and motivation.
- Visiting Kazan as the OIC Youth Capital and learning about the options available to young people in Russia.

Benefits
- The host nation will meet all costs for local living in Kazan.
- The ICYF will offer an invitation letter to help participants get visas. However, it is expected that each participant would follow up and continue the visa application process. The participants are also accountable for paying their visa costs.
- A certificate from the organizing committee for Kazan OIC Youth Capital 2022 will be given to the winners.
- Three disciplines will determine the winners:
-Dota 2 ($30,000 prize pool)
-FIFA 2022 ($15,000 prize pool)
-Hearthstone ($15,000 prize pool)

Eligibility Criteria
Based on the criteria listed below, entries will be accepted for the selection process:
- Should be a citizen (young man or female) of the Russian Federation or an OIC Member State.
- Age range of 18 to 35.
- Pass the national selection process or get a formal nomination from the government (Ministry, Presidency, etc.) of the applicant’s home country.
- Have e-Sports-related accomplishments.
- Participants who wish to apply for The International Youth E-Games Championships should contact the appropriate authorities in their country (Ministry/Presidency of Youth Affairs or Sports, etc.).
Note: Only applications submitted through the appropriate channels (Ministry, Youth Affairs Presidency, Sports, etc.) will be accepted.
The Format and The Procedure
The Championship will be placed over two phases:
- The national qualifying tournament runs from July 11 to August 20 (online).
One hundred twenty competitors from 3 different e-Sports disciplines will compete in the Championship’s Grand Final, which will determine the results of the Qualifier Tournament. Each nation chooses its competitors for the Championship through a separate process. The countries will provide the Championship Organizing Committee with the list of competitors after the election results. - The Grand Final will take place in Kazan from October 8 to 10, 2022:
- 8 October – group stage,
- 9 October – Single Elimination stage and the main finals in 3 disciplines,
- 10 October – cultural program.
The Championship schedule will consist of international online broadcasting and hosting and participant-focused cultural education programs.
The following disciplines will participate in the championship:
- Dota 2 (5 representatives in one team from each country)
- FIFA 2022 (1 representative from each country)
- Hearthstone (1 representative from each country)
