Opportunity Description

The MasterCard Foundation has launched a full scholarship for academically talented and economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa. The program aims to raise the next generation of ethical and transformative leaders who would influence change on the African Continent. This scholarship program is at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Therefore, if you have a tendency to benefit from this program, do not miss the opportunity to apply.

Benefits

The scholarship awardee will benefit from the followings during the program period:

  • A comprehensive financial aid including tuition fees, accommodation, study materials, monthly stipend, and an allowance to cover transportation expenses;
  • Support services for counseling;
  • The scholars will benefit from career development programs such as industrial mentorship, career guidance, professional development, and enterprise development;
  • Meetings among scholars will be held on a regular basis concentrating on personal and professional development aimed to build societal relationships and scholar’s capacity;
  • Academic support by academic mentoring, virtual learning, and tutoring will be provided for the scholars;
  • Internship opportunities;
  • the candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the MasterCard foundation scholars’ growing family and communicating with the global scholar’s community.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be from Ghana and Africa;
  • The applicant should hold a WASSCE/GBCE/ABCE, or GCE O’ Level and A’ level or equivalent results from a recognized institution;
  • you should explain how he or she needs financial means;
  • Having strong leadership skills are ubiquitous;
  • The applicant should have community engagement experience;
  • Female, displaced, and persons with disability are highly encouraged to apply, and priorities will be given to them;
