Opportunity Description

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers Helmut Schmidt fully funded Scholarships to study Master of Management in Non-Profit Organizations at Hochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in Germany.  The program is taught in English and spans for four semesters. Each year, 29 places are available, out of which 10 are reserved for the DAAD Helmut Schmidt Scholarship. Applications can be submitted between May 1 and July 15, 2024. The winter semester starts at the end of September.

Program content

The program covers a range of aspects of non-profit organizations, including key competencies like organization and leadership, human resources and volunteer management, marketing and public relations, and financial management, among others. The program also covers general competencies like leadership, reflection, ethics, and law. Specializations include spheres of activities of non-profit organizations, development cooperation, change management, personal management, and educational management and planning. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in economics, social sciences, or an equivalent field and demonstrate at least a B2 level of English proficiency. International applicants must also provide proof of at least an A1 level of German proficiency.

 

Who can apply?

Admission requirement:

  • have a bachelor’s in economics, social sciences, or another professionally appropriate study.
  • Demonstrate at least B2 level of English language (IELTS 5.5, 6.0, 6.5,  TOEFL iBT 72-94, TOEFL ITP 543-626, Pearson PTE Academic 59-75 Punkete, TOEIC listening and reading test 785-944 + speaking test 160-179 + Writing test 150-179, Cambridge English (PET, FCE, BEC Vantage, ILEC, ICFE) telc B2 , UNIcertII , . Additionally, the international applicants should provide proof of at least A1 German language

  • German language proficiency: Those applying to the DAAD Scholarship program need to attend mandatory German language courses to learn /improve their German language skills six months before the start of the lessons at university. This means that you can provide the German A1 proof within this framework of language course. A German language certificate is not required for the application.
