Applications are now being accepted for the position of Compliance Assistant at FAO in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Compliance Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the seamless operation of the FAO Afghanistan Complaints Feedback Mechanism in accordance with its Standard Operating Procedures, including:
- responding to incoming calls.
- Complete the call record and enter the data into the database.
- Exhibit a high level of discretion and excellent judgment.
- Keep track of database files.
- Cases should be reported to the appropriate staff members.
- Keep track of the progress of tasks that must be completed for reporting reasons.
- On a monthly basis, collect information on beneficiary comments and complaints from FAO regional offices.
- Compile quarterly progress reports on feedback and complaints received, as well as concerns resolved.
- Ensure that CFM flyers are distributed to recipients and stakeholders via initiatives.

Eligibilities:
Applicants must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Statistics, Agriculture, Economics or closely related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation/Call Centre operations.
- Working knowledge (Level C) of English and the local languages (Pashto and /or Dari)
- National of Afghanistan.
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work is preferred, especially in field employment.
- Extensive and relevant expertise in creating, planning, and carrying out monitoring and assessment.
- English and Pashto/Dari communication, writing, and presenting abilities are required.
- Excellent computer abilities, especially quantitative analysis and Excel use.
- Ability to operate as part of a team of professionals from various technical and cultural backgrounds.
- The ability to prepare ahead of time and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility, teamwork attitude, and the ability to operate under minimal supervision; shown competence to plan, advise, and steer planning procedures on monitoring and evaluation concerns.
- Ability to use a variety of analytical procedures and techniques.
- Ability to communicate with numerous agencies and efficiently create knowledge and partnerships with other UN entities, NGOs, and governmental agencies;
- Experience with a UN agency, an international NGO, or a donor organization is highly desired.
- It is necessary to be familiar with computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, Email/Internet, and PowerPoint. Experience with Kobo and/or other mobile data collection technologies is preferred.
