Journalismfund.eu vzw is a Brussels-based independent non-profit organization founded by citizens in 1998 with the goal of advancing independent cross-border investigative journalism across Europe to promote democracy. It ultimately serves the public interest, promotes accountability and transparency, and promotes critical thinking and informed debate. Journalismfund.eu manages grants to foster exemplary investigative journalism in Europe and beyond, as well as to encourage journalistic innovation. Journalismfund.eu’s flexible grant programs enable journalists to produce relevant public interest stories from international, national, and regional perspectives with a European mindset.
