Each year, the Board of Admissions bestows the Presidential Scholarship on incoming first-year students who have excelled academically. Presidential Scholars are among the most academically gifted students, excel outside the classroom, and serve as leaders in their schools and communities.

Benefits of the Boston University Presidential Scholarship
The scholarship will cover up to $25,000 in course fees per year for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Eligibility Criteria
You should meet the following requirements to apply for the Presidential Scholarship:
- Students from around the world are welcome to apply.
- English proficiency is required.
- Students must rank in the top 5% of their high school class.
- Have an SAT score of at least 1500 and an ACT score of 33.
- Have demonstrated outstanding extracurricular achievements in their schools and communities.
- Applicants must be incoming first-year students at a university in Boston.

Selection Process
After admission to Boston University has been confirmed, the selection process begins. The panel thoroughly evaluates each applicant using the admission application form and supporting documents. The following criteria are used to make final decisions:
- Standardized test results
- Statement of Purpose and Letter of Recommendation
- Academic credentials and accomplishments
- Non-academic accomplishments
