Opportunity Description

The Atlantic Technological University (ATU) offers 60 PhD scholarships as part of the RISE@ATU postgraduate student bursary scheme. This scheme comprises five cohorts of 12 PhD studentships, each partnering with at least one enterprise. These partnerships allow students to engage in advanced research and address real-world challenges faced by businesses.

These PhD studentships focus on key regional strategic research areas such as Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, AgriFood & AgriTech, Audiovisual/Creative, ICT & ICT Services, Life Sciences, MedTech & Medical Devices, Marine & Blue Economy, Renewable Energy, Climate Change Mitigation & Sustainability. These opportunities create a talented pool of researchers and facilitate collaboration between academia and industry, offering placements that bridge the gap between the two sectors.

The 60 scholarship opportunities are available across the five Postgraduate Research Training Programmes (PRTPs).
