Opportunity Description
Johnson & Johnson announced the WiSTEM2D Scholars Award Program for international women to do research in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, and Design (STEM2D). Johnson and Johnson’s team are looking to identify global women leading in research fields and working as mentors to be a vision for fellow girls and women.
This award program aims to accelerate the development of women leaders in the STEM2D disciplines. The award will fund female leaders working within a STEM2D university department in early to mid-career levels to support the research passion of the awarded women and inspire career paths in their relevant STEM2D fields.
The duration of the award is for three years with a total of 150,000 USD paid in three instalments to the recipient through the University. Each year the recipient will benefit from 50,000 USD to continue her research. This amount is payable in 2022, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions of the program’s agreements.

Benefits
Participants of scholar award will receive three years with a total of 150,000 USD paid in three instalments to the recipient through the University. Each year the recipient will benefit from 50,000 USD to continue her research. The organization will also showcase the award winner’s achievements at a symposium.
Eligibility Requirements
The WiSTEM2D Scholars Award applicants must meet eligibility criteria as follows:
- Applicant must be a woman and working in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, and Design.
- Applicant must be in early to mid-career levels and working as a non-tenured assistant professor, associate professor, etc., within a STEM2D accredited university department.
- Applicant should have a minimum degree in the appropriate field such as science (M.D., Ph.D.), Technology (Ph.D.), Engineering (Ph.D.), Math (M.S., Ph.D.), Manufacturing (Ph.D.), and Design (M.A., M.S., MDes, MArch, MFA, MLA, Ph.D.)
- Judges will review your application against the scientific and technical expertise, research novelty and innovation, potential impact of research, and its feasibility.
