Opportunity Description
As artificial intelligence (AI) advances fast, the economic impacts of these technologies remain surprisingly understudied. Stripe, in collaboration with leading economists, is launching the Stripe Economics of AI Fellowship to help build a new academic foundation focused on the economics of AI.
The Stripe Economics of AI Fellowship aims to bridge this gap by supporting cutting-edge academic research on the economics of AI.
The Fellowship invites graduate students and early-career researchers from any discipline or country to apply—no prior experience in AI economics is mandatory. Selected fellows will receive a minimum grant of $10,000, gain access to exclusive data through Stripe and its partners, and attend a high-level conference alongside leading economists and technologists.
The inaugural cohort will include 15–20 fellows who will form the core of a growing community exploring transformative, forward-looking, and high-impact research on the economics of AI. Applicants interested in how AI shapes productivity, labor markets, innovation, and beyond are especially encouraged to apply.
