The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) accepts applications for the Mid-Level Professionals Program (MLPP). MLPPÂ is a recruitment initiative for highly qualified mid-level professionals willing to start or improve their careers as International Civil Servants at UNESCO.
Candidates from all UNESCO’s Member States can apply for this opportunity, but at equal competence, priority consideration goes to internal candidates and those from non- and under-represented Member States.

Benefits of the MLPP
UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary amount, which varies for each position, and additional benefits, which might be payable if applicable. These benefits include the following:

Eligibility Criteria
Applications for the MLPP are available to students who meet the following criteria:
- Applicants should be a national of a UNESCO Member State
- Preference goes to the candidates from non- and under-represented Member States
- Meet the UNESCO standard educational and work experience requirements for professional positions, which is P-3 and P-4 level:
- P-3 Level: At least four years of professional experience, two years at the international level.
- P-4 Level: At least seven years of professional experience, three years at the international level.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant fields
- Candidates should prove an excellent knowledge of one of the working languages of the Secretariat (English or French). Proficiency in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish would be an additional asset or required.

Pre-screening:
The reviewers will review and assess applications to determine if applicants meet the basic eligibility requirements (i.e., experience, education, or language).
Assessments and Interviews:
Evaluation of applicants will occur based on the criteria of the vacancy call and notice, which may include the following activities:
- Pre-recorded video interviews
- Written tests and other assessments
- Competency-based interviews with live panels.
Only candidates selected for further evaluation or assessment will receive a call for the next stage.
Notification of Appointment Decisions:
