• Story Daily Life: applications for image series relating to daily life. Each application requires the submission of 10 photos. Photographers may use two distinct narratives.

• Single Nature and Environment: single picture apps for all things natural and environmental. Each application is limited to 1 picture submission. Photographers have four alternative picture options.
• Single Sports: Sports-related programs that only use one picture. Each application is limited to 1 picture submission. Photographers have four alternative picture options.
• Single News: programs that just display one image linked to news. Each application is limited to 1 picture submission. Photographers have four alternative picture options.

Eligibility Criteria 

All applicants and submissions should meet the following criteria:

• Open to photographers who are professionals. Professional photographers are individuals whose primary source of income is or has been photography, who frequently sell or publish their work, and who are members of professional photographic organizations.
• Both independent contractors and photographers working for a firm or agency are eligible to enter the contest. At the INSERT IMAGE tab, freelancers can add their firm name for each submission.
• Although the gadgets are unregulated, all inserted images must be of a high resolution.
• Only individual applications are accepted for the competition. Applications from teams are not accepted.

Submissions Requirement

All Photographs should meet the following criteria:

• Photographs provide accurate and relevant information.
• Photos submitted must have been taken in 2025 (between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024).
• Photographers are responsible for providing accurate personal information such as name, age, company, and so on, as well as image information such as date, location, and so on.
• All contributions must include the following IPTC information: title, description, creation date, city, and country. The information and category of the images may be modified until the deadline.
• Captions for photographs must be written in English. Please double-check the description limit before uploading your photos.
• No signatures, stamps, or other identifying marks are acceptable on the entry. The name or company of the photographer should not be disclosed in the captions.
• Digital modification and Photoshop effects are not permitted; only basic color tweaks are allowed. Signatures on the photo or in the caption are not allowed.
• Photographers must hold the rights to the photos they submit.
• Photographs must not infringe on the rights of third parties.
• Photographers are encouraged to enter all categories at the same time, using both published and unpublished images.
• Photographers can enter four distinct photos into the Single categories and two different stories into the Story categories.
• The same photograph cannot be entered into two different categories. Applications for the story category should comprise four photos.
• Please keep in mind that this contest is only for professionals, and the Istanbul Photo Awards jury may request evidence of the photo’s source or publication in newspapers, journals, or websites.
