Opportunity Description

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) applications for the Susana Menendez Bright Future Scholarship are now open to asylum seekers. Considering the rapid increase of refugees in the Netherlands, each year THUAS offers three Bright Future Scholarships (BFS) for all asylum status holders.

Forced to leave their homes due to conflict, persecution, or instability, asylum seekers often face immense challenges in rebuilding their lives. At The Hague University of Applied Sciences, we believe that talent, ambition, and potential should never go to waste. That’s why we are proud to introduce the Susana Menendez Bright Future Scholarship (BFS)—a fully funded opportunity designed to support asylum status holders in the Netherlands as they pursue higher education and professional growth.

With the number of refugees increasing rapidly, access to quality education is more critical than ever. Higher education not only enhances career prospects but also provides a vital platform for integration into Dutch society and the job market. This scholarship reflects THUAS’s commitment to inclusivity, empowering up to three exceptional individuals to enroll in one of our English-taught Master’s programs for the 2025-2026 academic year.
