Opportunity Description
The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) calls for proposals for LEDE Fellowship from journalists and content creators. For its fourth year, Solutions Journalism Network calls interested journalists to grow and retain their audience through solutions journalism. Also, applicants can share their lessons with peers during the program.
Successful fellowship projects will commit to the four core Leverage, Expand, Disseminate, and Eliminate (LEDE) principles as follows:
- Leverage the Network: The projects should leverage their existing audiences’ interests to integrate more four-pillar solutions journalism into their content.
- Expand the Community: Expand their audiences’ access to solutions journalism.
- Disseminate the Knowledge: The projects should disseminate an understanding of spreading access, generating revenue, and retaining audiences via solutions journalism.
- Eliminate Barriers: Th projects should eliminate obstacles to solutions journalism.
By participating in this program, the fellows will design their deliverables along the four mentioned criteria above. LEDE aims to test interest in Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) and meet fellows who are with their hypotheses and goals.
