Opportunity Description

The Internet Society’s Mid Career Fellowship applications are open for Internet leaders worldwide. This program provides them with the knowledge and skills to manage digital change and disruption in a time of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA).

This unique seven-month program offers 15 Fellows access to top educational institutions and experts. It focuses on inclusive, innovative, and strategic leadership in a VUCA world (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity). Through five modules with live lectures, assessments, and seminars, participants delve into digital geopolitics, leadership in turbulent environments, and effective advocacy.

Key areas covered include Internet properties, digital transformation, strategic foresight, design thinking, and decision-making. The program culminates in a symposium where fellows showcase their work.

Eligibility Criteria

This Fellowship is designed for mid-career individuals in positions of leadership who are:

  • Mid-career professionals in leadership roles within the Internet ecosystem.
  • At least ten years of relevant experience, including team or project leadership.
  • Currently engaged in addressing digital challenges or facing digital disruption.
  • Desire to solve problems, collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, and acquire new skills.
  • Commitment to ensuring the Internet remains open, globally-connected, secure, and trustworthy.

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable access to broadband Internet and necessary devices.
  • Ability to commit approximately six hours per week for the seven-month program.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English.
