Opportunity Description

The competition “Tell the world about your homeland” aims to foster friendly interethnic relations, a sense of love and respect for one’s native land among the younger generation, and patriotic education in children and youth. As part of the competition, competitors select the fascinating customs, historic sites, and events from their home country, and they then present those stories to peers and fellow citizens overseas in the form of a text or video presentation that must be translated into another language.

There are prizes for first, second, and third place in each competition nomination. The jury will decide the Grand Prix of the Competition winners. Additionally, the competition’s “150 best works” laureates are chosen.

Quick Details:

Age categories of participants:

  • Children under the age of seven (first age category)
  • Children aged 7 to 11 years old (age group 2)
  • Boys and girls aged 11 to 15 (3rd age group)
  • Adults, boys, and girls over the age of 15 (age category 4)

Benefits:

  • All competitors receive electronic certificates, mentors receive electronic letters of appreciation, and the winners receive diplomas and priceless prizes based on the Competition’s outcomes.
  • Every winner receives an invitation to the Moscow awards ceremony, which is attended by dignitaries and public leaders.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The competition’s main concept is “It’s good where we are!” It should be reflected in the theme of your work; find and show others something that gives you pleasure, admiration, pride, and joy.
  • The text presentation page is strictly performed on ONE A4 page in Russian. The same page is duplicated with a foreign language translation of the text and placed in the SAME PDF or JPG file as the first page in Russian. Thus, in ONE file, TWO pages are loaded on the site (one in Russian, the second with the same text in a foreign language). You can merge pages by typing “Merge PDF files online for free” into any browser’s search bar.
  • The work necessitates the use of both text and images/photos. Text works without visual accompaniment, as well as picture/photo collages without text, are not accepted.
  • The work’s text should be simple to read, visible, distinct, and understandable.
  • The maximum length of a video is 90 seconds (1 minute 30 seconds). Starting with the current season of the competition, it was decided not to allow videos that are even one second longer than the limit specified in the Regulations. When downloading videos, use caution.
  • Text/speech in Russian and its translation into a foreign language in the form of subtitles are required for video works (and, conversely, text/speech in a foreign language and its translation into Russian for their international competitors).
  • It is essential that the text in the video is easy to read and that the spoken speech is clear and audible.
