The Global Peace Photo Award 2021 is open now. Worldwide applicants can submit their applications before the closing date. This award is organized to recognize and promote photographers from around the globe whose photos reflect the situation toward a peaceful world. This competition was launched in 2013 to honor efforts about the picture, which tell about successes rather than failure and hopelessness. Therefore, interested and competent photographers are highly encouraged to submit their applications.

Benefits

– A successful applicant will receive an amount up to Euro 10,000;  

– Five top applicants will receive Alfred Fried Peace Medal;

– The awarded picture will be displayed in the Austrian Parliament for a duration of one year;

– The award winners will be invited to Vienna, Austria, to participate in the final award session on September 21, 2021;

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship:

– Photographers from any country can apply for this award;

– Upload your files via the submission page;

– Applicants can submit up to 20 photographs as one story;

– The photographs should not be older than three years at the time of application

– Those photographs which won any other prize are eligible for this call;

– You need to write a caption for each image or a story in English (maximum 2000 characters)

– Your photographs should be originated by yourself and consider the copyright while you submit an application

– Your image should not contain any confidential information before you upload the images;

Evaluation Criteria

The jury will judge your photographs on artistic merit, originality, subject, and style based on the theme of peace.
