Organization Description

At the 2009 Conference of the State Parties to the Third United Nations Convention Against Corruption in Doha, HH, Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani proposed the creation of a center dedicated to preventing and combating corruption. This center, known as the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre (ROLACC), aims to promote the best practices and methods to address corruption and strengthen the rule of law through capacity building, training, conferences, and seminars.

ROLACC was established to develop specialized knowledge and skills for individuals and institutions, particularly in the Arab world. It seeks to create a permanent exchange of experience and expertise through strategic partnerships with relevant United Nations bodies, especially the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. As the acting Secretariat body of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA) and the Conference of State Parties to the Convention Against Corruption, ROLACC supports national bodies and research centers in their efforts to tackle corruption and promote the rule of law.
