Organization Description

The Group for International Cooperation of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) is a non-profit association founded on October 29, 2008, as the Grupo Coimbra de Universidades Brasileiras. Renamed on October 30, 2020, it comprises 96 Brazilian Universities and six foreign institutions.

GCUB receives support from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), particularly through the Educational Cooperation Division (DCE).

Its programs target undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and teachers across all fields. These initiatives facilitate academic exchange, fostering cultural understanding and exposure to diverse educational and research systems.

In addition to mobility programs, GCUB organizes seminars, international missions, and leadership training courses, hosts delegations, and promotes cooperation agreements.
