The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an intergovernmental organization supporting countries in transitioning to sustainable energy futures through renewable energy. Since 2018, IRENA has initiated projects to empower young people to contribute to renewable energy transitions.

Design Guidelines

While designing the logo, please follow these guidelines:

• Incorporate the words “IRENA Youth.”
• It can be redesigned or inspired by the existing IRENA Youth logo.
• It should combine elements from the IRENA logo.
• You can consider it a sub-brand of IRENA.
• Use elements relevant to IRENA, sustainability, renewable energy, and youth.
• Colors should be vibrant and modern, and IRENA blue (#0073AB).
• Letters can be capitalized or small.
• The design should be simple, modern, and memorable, reflecting IRENA Youth’s mission and vision.
• Suitable for various platforms (websites, social media, print, merchandise).
• Easily adaptable to different backgrounds.
• Appealing and relatable to the target audience.
• Must be original, unique, easy to recognize, reproduce, and not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Individuals aged 18-35
• Teams of up to two members can participate
• Designs must reflect IRENA’s values of innovation, sustainability, and youth empowerment

Required Documents

Please design a logo with the following specifications:

• High-resolution logo in vector format (PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG)
• Logo designs on separate A4 landscape pages
• Two versions of the logo: standalone and combined with the IRENA logo
• Color variations with Pantone, CMYK, and RGB values
• Logo usage guidelines, including size, clear space, and typography
• Brief description of the design concept (max 200 words)
• Signed undertaking affirming authorship and rights
