Opportunity Description
National Statistics and Information Authority, formerly known as the Central Statistics Organization, was established in 1972 as an independent authority within the government of Afghanistan in order to establish a coordination mechanism for managing statistical information within all sectors in the country.
The applicants will have the following responsibilities:
- Collecting, unifying, analyzing and publishing accurate, documented, reliable, timely and statistical quality information in relation to population, commercial, industrial, agricultural, financial, social, economic, health, environmental and general activities of the people.
- Ensuring coordination, prevention of repetition, coherence and monitoring of all activities and supply of statistical and information services in the country
- The authority of the unit for publishing official information and statistics in the country and making decisions about the method of collection, unification, analysis and how to publish statistical information.
- Implementation of all statistical activities, including surveys, censuses, measurement of national calculations and guardian index, identification and stabilization of informational and statistical needs in the country.
- Stabilizing and presenting the latest figures of the entire country’s population every year using scientific and statistical methods
- Cooperation with government ministries and departments in collecting, uniting, analyzing statistical information and geographic information
- Ensuring professional independence, developing and prescribing works, definitions, principles, standards and appropriate scientific methods for use in all activities and providing statistical services in the country…
Important Details:
Eligibilities:
Applicants must have the following:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in: Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics and Econometrics, Statistics and Computers, Education Management, Public Administration, Administration and Management, Literature and Public Administration, domestic or foreign national And having a degree from an international educational institution is given priority to higher education degrees in the mentioned departments.
- Work Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience.
- Required skills: Full command of Pashto or Dari, one of the national languages of the country, familiarity with English language (reading and writing) and knowledge and skill in job-related computer programs.
Necessary Documents According to The Employment Procedure:
- Having a citizenship certificate
- Having a request form
- Educational documents (within the border must be approved by the honorable Ministry of Higher Education and outside the border must be a written evaluation of the honorable Ministry of Higher Education)
- Documents of work experience (if the work experience is government, the approved accident clearance form that has not passed more than six months and if the work experience is in the private sector/international institutions, it should be registered and registered with the relevant institution and attached with a copy of the work contract Refrain from sending confirmation letters, letters of appreciation and other additional documents separately.)
