Organization Description

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization that assists individuals who have been forced to escape their homes. Every year, they operate in more than 31 countries to provide emergency and long-term help to millions of individuals. They advocate for the rights of those compelled to flee. NORCAP, their worldwide expert provider, assists in improving international and local capacity to avoid, prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. The NRC also operates the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva, which is a global leader in reporting on and advocating for persons who are internally displaced.
