Organization Description

Established in 2007, Kateb University is a leading private institution in Afghanistan’s higher education sector. It officially began with the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and admitted its first 350 students through the University Entrance Test (UET), which is supervised by the ministry.

By 2010, Kateb had grown to 1,200 students; by 2012, it was home to over 2,000 students across ten academic disciplines. According to the Ministry of Higher Education’s regulations, the university employs around 130 full-time and part-time instructors, all holding Ph.D. or Master’s degrees.
