Organization Description

Founded in 1975, Fundación MAPFRE is a global nonprofit institution dedicated to enhancing people’s well-being and promoting social progress. Created by MAPFRE, it operates internationally through a wide range of programs aimed at improving the quality of life and contributing to a fairer, safer, and healthier society.

The Foundation structures its work around five core areas: Social Action, Culture, Health Promotion, Road Safety and Prevention, and Insurance and Social Protection. These areas reflect its ethical commitment to society and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), impacting 11 SDGs through its initiatives.

With a presence in over 30 countries, Fundación MAPFRE promotes collaboration with public and private institutions, NGOs, and cultural organizations. It also manages a Documentation Center on insurance and social security, as well as an Ageingnomics Research Center focused on the opportunities presented by an ageing population. Its work has earned multiple awards, recognitions, and international certifications, reinforcing its role as a leader in social impact.
