Organization Description

The British Academy is the national academy for the humanities and social sciences in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1902 and granted a royal charter the following year. It is now a fellowship of over 1,000 leading academics from all disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, as well as a funding body for research projects across the UK.
