Opportunity Description
Applications are open for the World Literacy Foundation Young Ambassador Program for young leaders worldwide. This annual free international program trains and encourages young individuals to generate change in their communities and become literacy advocates. The program provides an opportunity to interact, share, and reinforce collaborations with like-minded people determined to end illiteracy worldwide.
The ambassadors will speak to community groups, their schools, university, or media to raise awareness and advocate for literacy. They also raise funds to support one of the World Literacy Foundation’s literacy programs. Furthermore, the ambassadors will receive training on involving others in their cause and making a broad impact to help end illiteracy.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Young Ambassador Program, applicants should meet the criteria of this opportunity as follows:
- Applicants should be between 15 to 25 years old at the time of application
- Having an interest in joining the community of Change-Makers
- Proven English proficiency
- Access to computer/smartphone and stable internet connect
- Be able to join monthly webinars
- Being available at the program implementation dates
- Have the potential to take part in fundraising activity for the organization

Applicants can apply for the WLF Young Ambassador Program online by filling up an online form and following the procedures step by step.
Note: $25 registration fee is required and it is refundable!
All applicants should provide a one-minute video expressing applicants innovative ideas for fundraising and expressing their long-time commitment to the World Literacy Foundation.
