The Dear Mother Nature Global Postcard Writing Contest 2024 offers a unique platform to do just that. Organized by the Udaan Youth Club (UYC) of rural India, this contest invites individuals from all walks of life to pen heartfelt messages to nature, celebrating World Nature Conservation Day.

UYC, led by social worker SR Aman Kumar, is dedicated to fostering social awareness and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Benefiting from Information and Communication Technology (ICT) power, UYC addresses critical social issues, promotes environmental conservation, and envisions a developed India by 2047. The Dear Mother Nature contest is one of their many initiatives to inspire collective action for a better planet.

This contest encourages participants to express their love and gratitude for nature through postcards, highlighting their personal connections and commitment to environmental preservation. By participating, you join a global community dedicated to protecting our planet, one postcard at a time.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Open to individuals from all backgrounds and demographics.
• Special encouragement for writers, poets, social activists, artists, philanthropists, youth leaders, creative thinkers, environmentalists, journalists, and educators
• Postcard messages must be original and written in English (75-100 words).
• The Original postcard message starts with “Dear Mother Nature” and ends with two rhyming lines or one closing line.
