About UNAOC Fellowship:

The Fellowship Program was established in 2010 to strengthen the global commitment to living together in mutual tolerance and respect via discourse and cooperation. The fellowship was established in response to the need for greater understanding among peoples & cultures in the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), Europe, & North America (EUNA). The Fellowship exposes participants to diversity firsthand & allows them to engage in cultural immersion while meeting with a diverse spectrum of local actors & partners. Participants are given critical comprehension skills in each nation they visit to assist them in appreciating the diversity of their surroundings and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the host countries’ culture, politics, society, religion, and media. The Fellowship Program strives to challenge views and dismantle prejudices by exposing participants to fresh ideas & viewpoints & immersing them in culturally varied places. Participants are more ready to position themselves as informed stakeholders and build cross-cultural collaborations while bridging barriers between individuals of different religions and cultures.

Fellowship Theme:

The Fellowship 2022 theme is “Confronting discrimination and racism: the link to establishing pluralistic and diverse societies.” The issue was chosen in response to UNAOC’s primary goal of combating racism and prejudice and identifying solutions to the root causes of polarization within and between societies.
