Program Format
The Master of Arts in International Law and Diplomacy is available in two formats:
- Online Format: Entirely online, all subjects are hosted on UPEACE’s Virtual Learning Environment.
- Hybrid Format: Combines on-campus learning at UPEACE in San Jose, Costa Rica (first semester) with online courses (second, third, and fourth semesters), also hosted on UPEACE’s Virtual Learning Environment.
Students can also enroll in individual courses. Those completing credit courses will receive a certificate of completion and an academic transcript. If you are completing courses without credit, it will result in a certificate of completion.

Eligibility Criteria

- Professional experience in the relevant professional or voluntary experience in international law or diplomacy is advantageous.
- Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS) for non-native English speakers.
