The Office assists any UN Member State in establishing legal and regulatory frameworks to govern space activities. It strengthens developing countries’ capacity to use space science technology and applications for development by assisting in integrating space capabilities into national development programs. The United Nations / European Space Agency Fellowship Program on the Large Diameter Centrifuge Hypergravity Experiment Series (HyperGES) is a fellowship program offered by the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC). It gives scientists and researchers from the United Nations Member States, focusing on developing nations, the opportunity to undertake a series of hypergravity experiments at the LDC facility at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
