U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations USFUCA, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO Center for Peace, the World Genesis Foundation, and WhizJuniors invite youth from all over the world to participate in this year’s Multimedia Competition. Unparalleled connectivity has placed youth in one of the best positions to effect much-needed change in the world. UNESCO’s mission is to mobilize youth optimism in response to an urgent global problem to serve others now. Last year, over 5000 projects were submitted by motivated participants from over 81 countries in this highly rewarding contest.

Question of 2022:

According to the SDGs 2020 Report, the world is not on track to meet the goals by 2030. Progress had been slow even before the COVID-19 outbreak. Six years after the 2030 Agenda was approved, the region’s average SDG Index shows modest progress toward the goals set. How has your region fared so far in terms of the SDGs? What is an issue in your country that impedes the achievement of ONE of the SDGs goals, in your opinion? What real solution could you create for your community/country to help ensure success by 2030? Please specify which SDG goal you are focusing on.
