Opportunity Description
The Live Your Dream Awards program from Soroptimist is a special educational prize for women who are the main breadwinners in their families. The Live Your Dream Awards provide women with the tools they need to further their careers via education, training, and employment.
Almost 1,700 women worldwide receive education grants totaling more than $2.8 million from Soroptimist each year.
More than half of the Live Your Dream Award winners have experienced domestic abuse, human trafficking, or sexual assault. The majority of the families and women they assist have surmounted significant challenges including poverty, teen pregnancies, and drug or alcohol addiction. Recipients of the Live Your Dream Awards may utilize the financial prize to help cover expenses like books, childcare, tuition, and transportation that are related to their pursuit of a higher education.
