The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Afghanistan offers 500 scholarships for bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees for young Afghans to study in Russian educational institutions in accordance with Russian higher education programs. This scholarship aims to help Afghan cadres and has been allocated for the academic year 2023-2024 for Afghanistan.

Benefits

According to Russian laws, this scholarship covers the living allowance for international students during their studies. They are also provided with living facilities in the dormitories of educational institutions according to the conditions set for Russian citizens.

This scholarship doesn’t cover students’ transportation to university costs, health insurance, and food costs.

Eligibility Criteria

Afghan students who wish to pursue their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Russia through this scholarship should hold a passport with at least one and a half years of validity.

Eligible students can apply through education-in-russia.com before 30 November 2022. Information about necessary documents and step-by-step guidance about filling out the application form is available on the mentioned website.

Eligible candidates should refer to the Department of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Higher Education after completing the necessary documents for the application.

Candidates should note that the final selection decision is made by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Russian Science Office with the participation of higher education institutions of that country.
