Benefits

The Scholarships PURE Summer Program 2025 offers the following benefits:

• A total of 9000 TL monthly stipends
• Round-trip flight tickets for participants

• Free access to facilities within the campus, such as the Information Center, Cafeteria, and Sports Facilities

Note: Participants are responsible for personal expenses, transportation, meals, visa costs, and health insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must qualify for the following requirements:

• Application is open only to undergraduate students (Sabancı University, domestic, and international students during the summer program).
• Graduate students are NOT eligible.
• All undergraduate levels and departments can apply.
• Sabancı University students enrolled in Summer Internship or Summer School are NOT eligible.
• Sabancı University students can apply if there’s no conflict with their summer internship.
• School of Languages students at Sabancı University can apply in Fall and Spring terms.
• International students are responsible for their visa and health insurance processes.
• International students without visa exemption (or less than 90 days exemption) need a visa.
• International students must have valid travel and health insurance during their stay.
• Students must have good academic standing.
• Students must have sufficient English proficiency (no formal test required).
• Students must follow the rules of their home university if using PURE as an internship (non-SU students).
• Students are required to attend all project work seminars (at least 3 in the summer), and make presentations, submit final reports and posters to receive a certificate.

Selection Process and Criteria

Following are the process highlights:

• Students apply by selecting up to 6 research projects in order of preference based on their interests.
• Faculty members/researchers at Sabancı University evaluate applications.
• Academic standing, motivation (as explained in the statement of purpose), and alignment of research interests are key evaluation factors.
• First and second-round placement offers are made based on evaluation outcomes.
• Students confirm participation after receiving placement offers.
• Students who fail to complete the required project work, reports, poster presentations, and seminar attendance will not receive the participation certificate.
