Opportunity Description
Access to the 2025 Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize is offered via an international competition focused on climate justice. Photos of those affected by the growing climate problem are being sought for the contest. Climate refugees, the injured and disabled, the elderly, the impoverished, the indigenous and island people, and women are among those affected. Images of climate champions promoting change and people working to slow down or even stop climate change are also eligible to enter this competition.

Prizes Details
- The winner of the 2025 Global Prize will get USD 5,000.
- The Global Prize Recipient, the top 10 Finalists, and the 20 Honorable Mentions will be displayed internationally via UN.org.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants and submissions should meet the following criteria:
- Open to amateur and professional photographers worldwide.
- Entrants must be 18 or older.
- Photos must be taken between August 1, 2024, and August 1, 2025.
- Each participant may submit up to five photos.
- Entries must address climate justice, including issues like displacement, inequality, activism, and vulnerable communities.
- Submitted images must be original and not infringe on any rights.
- Contestants must have full rights to their photos and consent to their use for promotional purposes.
- Judges’ decisions are final.
Submission Formats
All submitted photographs should meet the following criteria:
- Images must be authentic: no addition, removal, distortion, or rearrangement of people or objects.
- HDR and stitched panoramas are not allowed.
- Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG; file size: 5MB–20 MB.
- Color must be RGB or sRGB; grayscale is allowed.
- Only photos taken between August 1, 2024, and August 1, 2025, on current climate justice topics will be considered.
- No watermarks, logos, or overlays allowed.
- Basic edits like cropping, dust/scratch removal, dodging/burning, sharpening, and contrast adjustments are permitted.
- Color tweaks are fine if they don’t alter the image’s original look.
- Inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content will be disqualified at the sponsor’s discretion.
- Captions must include photographer’s name, title, location, description, and date.
