Padua University—Italy offers 62 great scholarships, including the International Excellence Scholarship, to outstanding applicants from around the world who want to study a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the English language at Padua University.

The Padua International Excellence scholarship program is fully funded and covers your expenses, but it is highly competitive and selective. Only applicants with the best accomplishments and academic records may receive scholarships. Successful scholars will be expected to serve as university ambassadors and represent the institution on various occasions.

The University of Padua also offers  Departmental Scholarships for International Students to study in Italy for the academic year 2024-2025.

• 1st Application Period (Unlimited Access Degree Programs): 2 November 2024 – 2 February 2025
• 1st Application Period (Limited Access Degree Programs): 7 January 2025 – 7 March 2025
• 2nd Application Period (Limited Access Degree Programs): 7 March 2025 – 7 April 2025 (only for programs where no scholarships were awarded in the first period)
• 2nd Application Period (Unlimited Access Degree Programs): 2 March 2025 – 2 May 2025 (only for programs where no scholarships were awarded in the first period)

Selection Result Dates:

• 12 March 2025 – Unlimited access degree programs (1st application period)
• 11 April 2025 – Limited access degree programs (1st application period)
• 12 May 2025 – Limited access degree programs (2nd application period)
• 11 June 2025 – Unlimited access degree programs (2nd application period)
• TBA (Following IMAT Test Results) – Single-cycle degree in Medicine and Surgery

Duration: The maximum length of the Padua International Excellence Scholarship is as follows:

• • Bachelor and Single-cycle degree:: 3 continuous years
  • Master’s degree: 2 years

If the duration of the study exceeds those mentioned above, beneficiary students will be expected to pay their expenditures and tuition fees until graduation.

Benefits

The Padua University International scholarships offer the following benefits:

• Tuition Fee waiver
• An annual scholarship worth €8,000.

Note: 

• Beneficiary students must only pay a yearly entry charge equal to the regional tax and Marca da Bollo.
• Upon fulfilling the merit conditions outlined in the call for applications, the scholarship will be awarded in two (2) installments of €4,000 (gross amount) each academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants from countries worldwide who want to enroll in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree entirely taught in English at the University of Padua and meet the following requirements are welcome to apply.

• Not have Italian citizenship (except for dual citizenship, including Italian).
• Possess a foreign secondary school diploma (for candidates seeking Bachelor’s or Single-cycle degrees) or a foreign Bachelor’s degree (for those seeking Master’s degrees) permitting entrance to the Italian University system.
• Live outside Italy.
• Apply to one or more of the English-taught degree programs at the University of Padua. Please keep in mind that you may apply to three different degree programs. (please ensure that you meet the program requirements you are applying).
• Do not get any other scholarships – no other scholarship can be combined with this university.

Revocation

Your scholarship will be canceled by the University of Padua if:

• If by the end of the following year, November 30th, 2024, you have not earned at least 20 ECTS.
• You decide to change universities or stop taking classes.

Note: In the scenarios above, you must return any scholarship money you have already been awarded.

Selection Criteria

• Based on academic excellence in their field of study, quality, and records from their prior learning, the Academic Committee of each degree program selects the most deserving applicants and grants them scholarships.
