Oxford University Press invites you to contribute to Oxford Intersections, a new publication that aims to shape policy on urgent global challenges. This resource emphasizes peer-reviewed interdisciplinary research that helps tackle complex environmental, cultural, political, and social issues.

The University seeks abstracts for research articles on AI in the Majority World, specifically focusing on topics such as:

  • AI’s social impacts in areas like global health, agriculture, education, labor, regional trade, sustainability, generative AI, social protection, and scaling AI in low-resourced contexts
  • AI governance and ethics, including AI ethics, epistemic justice, and global value chains
  • Gender and inclusion in AI, including gender inequality, women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and digital literacy.

Oxford Intersections welcomes contributors from diverse disciplines, institutions, regions, and career stages, including researchers, academics, professionals, PhD students, and final-year master’s students.

AI in Society will showcase scholarly research on AI’s transformative impact, both positive and negative, as it reshapes the world. As AI becomes increasingly discussed in the media, it raises important debates on privacy, trust, security, and governance. These discussions will influence innovation and policy globally for years to come.

All accepted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure they meet high academic standards and align with the Intersections project’s goals.

Eligibility Criteria
