Do you know women working in Life and Environmental Sciences?  Nominate the outstanding female scientists for the UNESCO award.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards 2026 are now open for nominations. This globally respected program recognizes five exceptional female scientists making significant contributions in Life and Environmental Sciences, from the following regions:

  • Africa and the Arab States
  • Asia and the Pacific
  • Europe
  • Latin America and the Caribbean
  • North America

Since its launch in 1998, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Program has recognized 137 eminent women and supported over 4,500 young researchers from more than 140 countries and territories. Notably, seven former laureates have received Nobel Prizes, emphasizing the program’s influential role in promoting scientific excellence among women.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Scientific impact through publications, presentations, patents, etc.

  • Commitment to education, mentorship, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
