Opportunity Description
Recognizing the critical issue of entrepreneurship in Afghanistan, Kateb University, the country’s leading academic institution, is organizing the National Conference on Opportunities and Challenges of Entrepreneurship in Afghanistan. This event aims to unite academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, share research, and explore innovative solutions. It will provide actionable insights for building a more conducive environment for entrepreneurship in Afghanistan.
Entrepreneurship Challenges in Afghanistan
Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process of creating value through innovation, utilizing resources, and embracing calculated risks. In Afghanistan—a nation shaped by decades of political instability, imposed wars, and their aftermath—entrepreneurship offers a promising pathway to economic recovery and social prosperity. With a young and ambitious workforce, the country stands at a pivotal stage to tackle poverty, create jobs, and improve infrastructure.
However, Afghanistan faces significant obstacles in fostering entrepreneurship, such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of financial resources, and systemic administrative corruption. These challenges slow the growth of small and medium enterprises, particularly for women and rural communities.
