Opportunity Description
The Jean-Claude Juncker Scholarship 2025 is now accepting applications from international students. Sponsored by His Excellency Jean-Claude Juncker, the 12th President of the European Commission, this scholarship allows students to study for their bachelor’s, master’s, and executive master’s degrees in Europe. Candidates interested in the European Union’s ideas, principles, values, future, and the continent’s economic, technological, and social development are eligible to apply to pursue their studies at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
The scholarship is valid for the first year of the bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Following satisfactory completion of the first year and a positive review, the scholarship is extendable to the 2nd year of the Master’s degree.

Benefits of the Jean-Claude Juncker Scholarship
Applicants will benefit from the € 12,500 Scholarship per year, which is only toward students’ tuition fees. This amount is available for applications for bachelor’s and master’s programs for non-European nationalities and applications for Executive Master’s programs from all nationalities.
Note: Applicants are responsible for other expenses like travel, accommodation, etc.

There are two kinds of Master’s degrees and a bachelor’s that students can apply for as follows:
Bachelor’s (English):
Business & Management
Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Leisure Business
Masters (English):
- Biotechnology
- Entrepreneurship and Tourism
- Environmental, Process and Energy Engineering (full-time)
- International Business and Law
- International Business and Management
- International Health and Social Management
- Management, Communication, and IT
- Mechanics and Smart Technologies (full-time)
- Medical Technologies
Executive Masters (English (E):
- General Management Executive MBA (E)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- For all Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs, applicants must be citizens of non-EU countries;
- For all Executive Master’s Degrees, applicants can be from all nationals;
- Students interested and committed to European concepts and challenges and excited to continue supporting these goals during their studies;
- This Scholarship is available for freshers who must pay the current annual tuition fee;
- Applicants should be fluent in the English language.
Required Documents
- Application Confirmation to the MCI study program
- A motivation letter explaining:
- The applicant’s engagement in European issues and activities
- Their future goals and explaining how their studies at the MCI will help them achieve these aims.
- The motivation Letter explaining how applicants would benefit from the scholarship
- CV
- Copy of degree certificate(s)
- Passport copy
- Language proficiency
Selection Criteria
The selection panel will consider the following criteria for choosing applications:
- Current (or previous) commitment to European ideas and issues:
- Level and nature of participation or commitment;
- Evidence provided;
- Impact attained.
- Future commitment to European ideas and issues
- Feasibility of the set goals;
- Similarity between the applicant’s European focus and the MCI chosen degree;
- The potential impact of applicants’ goals.
