Opportunity Description
Are you a talented student from a Least Developed Member Country (LDMC) seeking financial support to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine? If so, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) M.Sc. Scholarship Program applications are open for 2025-26.
The M.Sc. Scholarship Program aims to support human resource development in science and technology within Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs), fostering their socioeconomic growth.
Launched in 1998, it seeks to increase the number of skilled professionals essential for technology development, transfer, and maintenance. The program also expands access to education through IsDB initiatives, tailoring opportunities to the specific needs of LDMCs. Additionally, it prepares students for further academic advancement, enabling them to qualify for the IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for High Technology.
The IsDB M.Sc. Scholarship is a two-year program leading to a Master’s degree through coursework, research, or a combination of both. Eligible students can apply for studies in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine/Medical Sciences.
Applicants must secure admission to a university in an IsDB member country ranked among the top 1000 in the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES). Priority goes to those admitted to universities in Malaysia, Morocco, Türkiye, and Makerere University in Uganda, which have cooperation agreements with IsDB.
