Opportunity Description

The International Student Forum on Youth, Peace, and Security 2022 is now accepting applications. The International Student Forum, organized by the “Bir Könüllü – One Volunteer” Students Cooperation Public Union with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, will bring together young scholars and students, as well as Azerbaijani and foreign experts, to discuss challenges in peace and security, and to develop possible solutions scenarios through panel discussions and seminars.

About Program

The Forum will be hosted in Baku and Shusha, which may be considered an apogee and successful example of a post-conflict city being rebuilt and modernized.

It is undeniable that the post-war period prepares the ground for long-term peace and growth on all sides of the conflict. The historical record shows that it is critical to employ all available peace-building instruments and procedures in order to offer the next generation with a safe and prosperous environment conducive to growth and cooperation. It is difficult to disregard the involvement of students and young researchers in proposing recommendations for peace-building actions in this area.
