The Google Global Coding Competition is a one-of-a-kind competition for exceptional programmers from all over the world. The talented programmers are given extensive challenges to solve in a specific set of time in this coding competition, also known as Coding Jam. Thus, the Code Jam challenge provides the participants with an excellent opportunity to prove their mantle by testing their skills. This thrilling online coding competition is Google’s largest coding competition globally. As a result, the challenge serves as a portal for programs to a new virtual world with many opportunities.

What’s Code Jam?

Code Jam is Google’s longest-running global coding competition, where programmers of all skill levels compete. Competitors must solve a series of online algorithmic puzzles to earn a spot in the World Finals, where they will compete for the championship title and USD 15,000.

Rounds of Google Global Coding Competition:

Register to compete for the Code Jam Online Qualification Round. It will last 27 hours, but you won’t need that long to earn the qualifying point minimum for the round. Once you’ve done so, you’ll move to Online Round 1. Google Global Coding Competition has 3 sub-rounds for Round 1, and you can compete in as many as you need to finish in the top 1,500 of any of them.

  1. The top 1,500 from each sub-round advance to compete for a spot among the top 1,000 Code Jam Online Round 2 contestants.
  2. The top 1,000 contestants progress to Online Round 3 and receive a limited edition Code Jam t-shirt.
  3. The top 25 participants from Code Jam Online Round 3 will compete for the championship title and a prize of USD 15,000 in the Virtual World Finals.
Prizes:
  • A $15,000 cash prize will be awarded.
  • Participants who advance to the third round will receive a limited edition Code Jam T-Shirt.
  • The top finalists will be invited to participate in the Virtual World Finals.
  • Certificates will be given to participants based on their level of achievement.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates from all over the world are welcome to apply, except for those from Crimea, North Korea, Quebec, the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the Luhansk People’s Republic or where prohibited by law.
  • Employees, interns, and contractors of Google and Alphabet and their affiliates are not eligible to apply.
  • You can apply if you are a government official, but you will not receive a prize or certificate because an officer can only enter the contest as a Hub organizer.
  • The candidate must be 16 or older and have completed at least 18 rounds of Code Jam.
  • If Google requests proof of eligibility, the candidate must provide it within 5 days or risk being disqualified.
Application Requirements:
How to register for Google Global Coding Competition?
  • The participant must create an online profile.
  • After creating a profile, register yourself.
  • Candidates must register separately for each contestant. For example, if you are registered in Code Jam and want to compete in Hash Code, you must first register in Hash Code.
  • Use only one valid contest profile per registration; multiple profiles will result in disqualification.
