Finalists of the FoodTech Innovation Awards will receive:

Awards Categories
FoodTech Innovation Awards 2025 comprises seven categories as follows:
- Innovative Solution on Digitalization for the Food and Beverage Industry: Recognizes technological solutions transforming the food industry through IoT, AI, cloud, biotechnology, and more.
- Sustainability Project: This project awards initiatives that reduce environmental impact, such as sustainable agriculture, climate change mitigation, a circular economy, and packaging waste.
- Healthy Food: Recognizes innovative projects promoting healthy eating across the food industry value chain.
- Automation and Robotics Solution for the Food Value Chain: Celebrates the use of automation and robotics to improve production processes and competitiveness in food manufacturing.
- Disruptive Solution for the Packaging Industry: Recognizes innovations transforming the packaging sector within the food industry.
- Innovative Startup: Awards startups with groundbreaking solutions in digitalization, sustainability, or health in the FoodTech sector
- Spanish Startup with the Greatest International Projection: Recognizes Spanish startups with global impact in addressing challenges in the food and beverage industry.

Restrictions:
- There is no limit on the number of entries per organization
- Entries must align with the theme of Digital Transformation and the global digital economy
- Entries containing threatening, abusive, defamatory, or false content will be disqualified without prior notice
Selection Process and Criteria
The evaluation process has two main phases, as follows:
Phase 1: Regulation Compliance & Pre-Selection
- The Evaluation Committee checks if entries meet the requirements and selection criteria.
- Three pre-award candidates will be shortlisted per category.
- Pre-selected candidates will receive notification via email.
- The selection committee may ask for additional information.
- Proposals may be re-categorized based on the committee’s observations.
Phase 2: Winner Selection
- The selection committee evaluates projects to select winners for each category.
- Winners and committee members will be announced during the Food 4 Future Ceremony on May 14, 2025.
- Pre-selected finalists will be notified starting April 4, 2025.
- The Steering Committee’s decision is final and not open to queries.
- Award categories may be declared void by the committee if necessary.
- Finalists are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expense

The selection committee will evaluate the applicants based on the following requirements:

- Strategy

- Await finalist notification on April 14, 2025.
- Attend the award ceremony in Bilbao on May 14, 2025, if selected as a finalist.
