Applications are now open for Faculty of Engineering International Scholarships at the University of Strathclyde Glasgow, UK. The University offers several scholarships for applicants joining undergraduate courses starting in September this year and postgraduate taught courses starting in September this year or  January 2025. Also, applicants of postgraduate research programs joining the Faculty of Engineering in the academic year 2024/25 can apply for this scholarship.

All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying students who hold university offers and have strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply.

All applicants should hold an offer letter for a full-time postgraduate taught degree course beginning in  September 2024  and January 2025. If the applicants are applying for a postgraduate research course, they must start during the 2024/25 academic year.

The scholarship amount for postgraduate research degree courses is a reduction of tuition fees for each year of study. Postgraduate research degree applicants can apply year-round for the scholarships.

Faculty of Engineering International Scholarships for postgraduate taught degree courses are equivalent to a 15% reduction in tuition fees, typically being £3,670 out of £24,450.

The scholarship amount for postgraduate research degree courses (Ph.D. Students) is equivalent to a 15% reduction of tuition fees for each study year. Postgraduate research degree applicants can apply year-round for the scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should apply for architecture, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, design manufacture and engineering management, civil and environmental engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, naval architecture, and ocean and marine engineering.
• They must hold an offer of study for a full-time, on-campus, undergraduate, or postgraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering for the 2023/24 academic cycle.
• Applicants should be fee-paying international students.
• Candidates should provide a statement of 500 words maximum as part of their application on a separate document initially and paste this into the application portal. The information should be on why the applicant should receive a Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship.
